Xbox Case #7 Prints and Pauper Walkthrough |

A body has been discovered at an abandoned Asylum. With Warrick, find out who might have murdered this person!
Go to the morgue first and talk to Doc Robbins,
Ask the questions as they appear, and then look at the body...
1) zoom in on stomach. [Yeah! a Gross reverse peristalsis video! Otherwise known as vomitting]. If Doc didn’t give you the victim’s DNA sample, swab the stomach. The first two times I played this case, it was given to me automatically, time 3 I needed to swab the stomach. Picky game…
2) zoom in on chest, Doc will tell you about transplants. [This will reappear in another case in the future ]
3) zoom in on the left shoulder.
4) zoom in on left hand. Hmm… missing a ring are we?
5) zoom in on the jeans on the table. Swab the yellow stain that is probably vomit.
Go to the LAB and give Greg the victim’s DNA and the vomit sample.
COMPUTER- search and compare the DNAs.
Go to Brass for the addresses to the asylum. You can also get the address to the Figaro Restaurant if you gave the vomit sample to Greg and got info on what the dinner was. Brass will search for restaurants serving white truffles.
Go to the ASYLUM. There is LOTS OF EVIDENCE HERE… MAKE SURE YOU GET IT ALL! [I’m not yelling, I’m just highlighting that you have to be sure to get everything.]
AREA IN FRONT OF WARRICK
Victim’s blood. [since we have the victim already, don’t need to swab a sample.]
Look at the floor crack. As you keep zooming in, you can see what is under the floor. Pick up the blowfly larva [I used tweezers]
BEHIND WARRICK
Pick up and dust the piece of glass for Partial Print [PP] #1
TABLE IN THE CORNER
Pick up and dust piece of glass for PP #2
RIGHT SIDE WALL
Look at graffiti. Swab fresh paint sample [dark red].
RIGHT SIDE FLOOR
Swab liquid that is probably alcohol.
MIDDLE FLOOR AREA
Adhesive lift muddy footprints.
APPROACHING WHEELCHAIR AREA
Notice other shoe prints [look kinda feminine]. Electrostat dust lift dusty footprints.
WHEELCHAIR AREA
Watch the video of the body dumping. So sad.
Seat back- UV for hospital name
Mid bar area [framework/chassis of wheelchair between seat]- microsil SN number
Handlebar- dust for print [regular dust equipment].
I then go to the FIGARO RESTAURANT as I figure I will get even more evidence there to annoy Greg with in the lab.
FIGARO
Talk to Restauranteur, Markus Hellen.
In alley way, look in DUMPSTER. Pick up 3 receipts and leftover rib.
Look at the fence area- pick up cloth with tweezers.
Go to LAB. Before I start handing things to Greg, I do two things:
1) Double click on one of the glass fragments [if you didn’t dust it for prints before, do this now on both of the pieces of glass.] Try putting the pieces of glass together by having one in the pop up info window and then single-clicking and dragging the other piece onto it. We still have a partial print, but it’s not as partial now.
2) Zoom in on the left over rib. Collect powdery substance in Adhesive Specimen Mount jar.
Now give everything to Greg and listen away as he does his stuff.
MICROSCOPE
Confirm blowfly life stage at 28 hrs to get a time of death [TOD].
COMPUTER
Compare and search the DNAs you have, the wheelchair print and the shoe treads.
Go to BRASS. Ask about the punk hangout and get him to search the SN number from the wheelchair while you are at it. I could also get a warrant for restaurant customer who had the omelette at this time.
Go to FIGARO, get Markus to give you info on the Omelette customer. You will get the credit card receipt.
Go to HANGOUT
Pick up the following evidence…
1) Notepad on the table
2) Can on the box. Dust this for PP # 3 and pick it up. You can try putting it together with the glass prints now too. 3) Pool table zone- pick up cigarette
Go to LAB, process evidence with Greg.
If you didn’t do it before, put the paint can print together with the glass print to make a full print. Give to Greg to scan into the computer.
When you give the notebook to Greg, he will get the PAWN SHOP address for you.
COMPUTER
1) Search the Partial print- see a rap sheet for Lane Jackson. Compare to wheelchair print.
2) Compare and search DNAs. Still no matches
3) Search the credit card receipt. Get address to JJ Thomas.
[The next few things can be done in different order- the order I have noted down is the most “efficient for me”. You can also go to the morgue and ask Doc questions at this time- I waited a bit partially because I forgot ]
Ask FIGARO owner about JJ Thomas.
Check out PAWN SHOP
1) Pick up smouldering cigarette by door.
2) Notice the Be Back Soon sign on door.
3) Look in trash can, pick up notepaper
Go to JJ THOMAS CONDO and talk to Clair. You can go back to the FIGARO and ask the owner about Clair too.
Go to LAB. Hand over cigarette to Greg, and the notepaper you found.
In the COMPUTER, Compare two Cigarette DNAs [one from the pawnshop you just picked up, and the previous one found at the thug hangout]- yeah DNAs that finally match!
GO BACK TO PAWN SHOP. Talk to Thug [aka Lane Jackson]
Then notice the stuff by the garbage can.
1) Look at the ring. Pick it up.
2) Look at the coat. A) swab yellow substance. B) pick up cat hairs c) pick up jacket.
Ask thug about the coat, etc.
Go to the LAB, hand over stuff to Greg. Greg will tell you the vomit matches previous evidence.
MICROSCOPE- match the cat hair to Singapura breed.
Go to BRASS and ask him to search for owners of Singapura cats in the area. He will confirm JJ Thomas had a Singapura cat.
At this time, I visit Doc Robbins and ask him a slew of questions.
I then go to the PAWN SHOP and ask the thug about the asylum. He’ll say he was in jail.
Go to BRASS and check Lane’s prison alibi and rule out the thug as a suspect.
You can also ask to interrogate Markus Hellen, the restaurant owner. [If you can’t at this time, go back to him and ask him the remaining questions. This should be enough to get him in.] After interrogating Markus, you will get his DNA and fingerprint samples.
Go to LAB- give Markus’ prints and DNA to Greg.
COMPUTER- compare Markus’ DNA and prints to rule him out as a suspect.
Go to the CONDO and ask Clair about the cat.
Go back to BRASS and get a warrant for the CONDO.
AT THE CONDO, tell Clair you can search and then find the following evidence…
1) look at the liquor box
2) look at the portrait over the fireplace. Zoom in and notice the crest on the tie. Match anything?
3) Fireplace- pick up larva and burnt paper
4) Pet Carrier- pick up cat hairs
Go to LAB. Give Greg the new evidence. The Blowfly is too burnt to compare with the other one, but hooray! Greg can get DNA from it!
MICROSCOPE
Compare cat hairs.
COMPUTER
Search and compare mangled blowfly DNA- matches the homeless victim!
Check back at the morgue for any remaining questions you need to ask Doc [besides looking at the body again].
Go to BRASS and ask to interrogate Clair Thomas.
At the end of Clair’s first interrogation, you’ll get her prints and DNA sample.
Go to LAB, get Greg to put Clair’s prints and DNA into the computer.
COMPUTER- compare and search Clair’s prints and DNA with the wheelchair print and vomit DNA.
Ask BRASS to re-interrogate Clair. Listen to Clair crumble.
