I am assuming that the Auto-Evidence Questions option is set to Yes: if not, you will have to drag 'n' drop the relevant evidence onto a character to ask the necessary questions.
I don't always go into the details of what questions are asked and answers given, especially towards the end
(it was getting a bit long).

INTRO
Crime scene: The Fate dance club
Victim: Jack Simmons, owner of the club, apparently killed when a disco light fell
and struck him on the head. (Did it make him feel "light-headed"?) But, was it an accident or murder?
Proceed to the Fate:
For the time being we are restricted to the dance floor because of FBI interest in the location.
Talk to Sanchez, the bouncer/bar tender/dog's body:
--Jack wasn't there when he left around midnight
--Jack had keys, so he could come and go as he pleased
Examine the victim
--Examine head wound: Swab blood
--Click twice on vic's wallet (waist) for close up: Collect business card
--Click on gum on vic's shoe: Collect powder with the Adhesive Specimen Lifter (jar)
Examine the dance floor around the vic:
--Click near the metal plate to the left of the fallen light. Collect bolt: we will examine for signs of foul play
--Collect the light, for good measure
--Collect shards of broken glass: we will reconstruct to determine angle of impact and see if it is consistent with the vic's injuries.
--NOTE: No prints from glass at this time: maybe when it's put together?
Talk to Sanchez again:
--No signs of burglary; no money kept in cash register overnight
Go to the Lab to process evidence:
Give all evidence to Valera, get her comments and let her send it where it needs to go.
--Reconstruct glass from light: (NOTE: pieces don't fit tightly, there are slight gaps)
---Angle of impact = 22 degrees: Does this tally with wound on vic's head? (See Alexx in the Morgue)
--Lift print from reconstructed glass: No match found on the computer
--DNA (vic's blood): No match
--Bolt: We need to find tool used to loosen it
--Yeast (from shoe): Examine under microscope: Bavarian lager strain
--Business card: Search in computer: Need to get info on Draft sports bar (See Yelina)
Go to Morgue (Alexx)
Ask Alexx to retrieve the body
--Get details of cause and time of death
--Examine head wound and take a Mikrosil impression of strange mark: we need to find
something that might've made it
--Angle of impact = 35 degrees! So, the light didn't "put out his lights". Looks like MURDER!
--If you missed the powder on the vic's shoe at the scene, get it now and process it

--Give Valera the Mikrosil impression of wound and examine it
Go to Yelina's office:
--Ask for details of Draft club: Doesn't exist
--You could ask for a warrant to search the Fate, but you can't get one 'cause of the FBI!
Back to the Fate:

Go to the Whiskey Stop
In the background, by the bar, locate the waitress (Nicky) and talk to her.
--She tells you Ron is downstairs
--Tell her about Jack being murdered
--Ask her about her fight with the vic: Did she threaten him? etc
--Ask if you can look around
Investigate the room:
--Locate the Virtual Golf setup behind the pool tables
--Against the wall, below the TV's, find trophy case: Close up on boxing trophy (glove):
Close up on emblem (star) and Mikrosil it: Move back out
--Close up on the top of the glove, spray Luminol to reveal blood: Swab it
Go to Microbrewery
Talk to Ron:
--Ask about his fight with vic
--Learn about embezzlement: vic was going to confront Sanchez
--Find out about his and vic's relationship with Nicky
--Learn about Nicky's involvement with drugs
--Ask to look around: Can't touch beer equipment (yet!) but if you click on the red tap on the
canister (or vat) with the open top, Speedle will tell you we need a warrant
Look around:
--Click on the beer mug on the case to the left: Close up on the star-shaped symbol and Mikrosil it
--Click on the stain under the metal stairway by the vats: Swab it (you could've tried Luminol if you
thought it might've been blood)
Back to Lab:
Submit and process all new evidence
--Sanchez' prints: Match prints on glass: No match on AFIS
--DNA (trophy): No match to vic: Match on CODIS: Dead boxer
--Mikrosil casts: No match to wound impression
--Yeast (microbrewery stain): No match to sample from vic's shoe

--In glove compartment (passenger side), collect plastic bag: Cocaine?
NOTE: When you've collected the bag, find it on the Evidence/Items tab (Powdery Substance),
double-click on it to open it in a popup and dust for a print towards the forward left, below the seal strip. I didn't
try dusting it before collection, but maybe it works.

in the bottom right corner you'll see a red stain (blood?): Luminol the tap to reveal blood trace
