Have you tried giving the cassette to Greg? I think he does it for you. Greg also does your DNA comparisons. In Dark Motives [the second CSI game], you do the DNA comparisons yourself on the computer.

I posted earlier about DNA and cassettes in what might have been confusing manner- sorry about that!

In the Original CSI game, to search any evidence in the computer, you have to give the evidence to Greg- he puts it in for you to search. Greg does all the DNA work himself in the original game.

However, in the Dark Motives game, you get to do the DNA comparisons on the computer [added work for you].

The reason I put in both answers is because many users of this site sometimes get confused with the two Las Vegas based games and post their questions and problems in the wrong forum and sometimes go looking for advice in the wrong place and get confused. I do my best as the sole moderator to keep the questions/posts in the right place and try to direct people to the right forum/advice. I also add extra info to the thread titles so they are more informative.

DNA evidence

To search and compare any DNA samples or fingerprints, etc. you find at the crime scenes, first give the items to Greg in the lab (for PC- click and drag them from the evidence bar on to him). He will enter them in for you and then you can click on the computer and then search and compare them. Greg will also shunt evidence such as threads, glass, etc. to the microscope for viewing.

Hope that helps!
