I didn't think the XBOX version had a patch- there is one for the PC- he might have been mistaken

For the wound, make sure you are as close as you possibly can get- on my computer the wound is about the size of a quarter- on your TV though, I don't know how big it would be! Make sure you have swabbed it first- that might be the hinderance, as well has UVing her face completely in case you missed that. Did you pick up the squib from the upper wound?

I think it can be done- you might just have to play around with it to get it in just the right spot. Other XBOX players have gotten frustrated with it, but they managed to get it eventually [mind you they were a bit grumpy with themselves afterwards ]

As for contacting someone technical, there might be a support url in your game manual that might be for XBOX only- the PC one by ubisoft is not very responsive as the game is now an older game- they have moved on to focusing on their newer more popular games like Prince of Persia, etc.

Hope you fix your problem!

Question Ugh! Bullet fragments! : XBOX, wound scoping

Hi!

I play the xbox version, and I can't seem to look at the bullet fragments with the scope. I've tried before asking him in the morgue, but they still don't show up. Then, he gives them to me and the guy in the lab looks at them, and that's it. I can't look at them to see the marks.

Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

looking at the bullet fragments close up

to look at the bullets close up, you need to get it into the pop up like information window (remember in the other cases, you needed to look at things more closely? eg. in case 2- you put fingerprint partials together). In this case, look at the bullets more closely by getting them in the pop up and then use tools (like your magnifying scope) on them.

Hope that helps!

Still need help from XBox players

Well...thanks for your help, but it does seem that the xbox version is quite different. You don't get any pop-up style windows in the xbox version. Your cursor changes color. I have went over the area of the bullethole about 10 times with the scope, to no avail. My partner always says "nothing here" or "nothing special here." It is really driving me nuts, because I want to get to case 5 and finish the game.

Can any Xbox players help me out?

Thanks!

sorry thought you were talking about the bullets

Oops sorry- I thought you were talking about viewing the bullets themselves!

Are you trying to look at the bullet wounds? There is only so close you can go. Your next step will be taking a mould of it (mold) using the wax (looks like toothpaste). You need to get as close as you can (once cursor click) and then use the moulding wax on just the right spot on the lower wound (the one nearer to her centre).

Hope that helps!

Fragments

Well, I successfully moulded the mikrosil before, but my partner keeps saying that I need to carefully look at the bullet fragments. Evidently, I need to see some crimping?

I go to doc in the morgue, and he says that he found some bullet fragments and gives them to me. Once I am back in the lab, I give them to Sanders and he just tells me what caliber they are. I then cannot look and use them again. If I try to give them back to him, he says, "I've done all I can with that."

My big query is: do I have to look at the fragments at the morgue, or in the lab?

I've tried to look at them in the morgue before asking doc if he found them, but the scope doesn't seem to find them. Then, once I ask doc for them, I can't look at them further.

Thanks for all your help - I appreciate it!

bullet crimping

You should be able to look at the bullets anywhere- you would use yoru magnifying scope on them. In the PC version, when you double click on a piece of evidence, a window pops up with a closer up picture of the evidence, along with some information on it (what it is, etc.). There is an XBOX equivalent to this- and you must have used it before (eg. in Warrick's case when you were putting the partial fingerprints together, and in Sarah's case when you examined the baseball bat).

The bullets are given to you by Doc- they should be in your evidence bar - make sure you check all three tabs.

Hope you solve your problem! (The XBOX version of the game does appear to be a bit more finicky, but people have completed it!)

Have a great weekend!
