the game can be done, i completed it last week but we have been without the net for a while so i didn't have chance to post.

right this is what you do in the funeral home room, scan the whole room for everything, check the diploma, the drawer wit papers in yadda yadda, go to the bin, instead of clicking on the right side of the bin where the vinyl is, move your arrow onto the right side, the game will then zoom in on a stain, spray the stain with the stuff that higlights blood (sorry can't remember what its called) then take a swab, Gill will then say something.

come out of the room talk to the funeral guy and ask him why there is blood in the bin, along with any other questions that appear.

go back to the lab and give greg everything you found in the funeral room, check your inventory and the piece of vinyl is there, don't ask me how i dunno, but it appears there without even picking it up.

no bull**** i've done it and finished the game.

yes i've completed the game finally, as for the massive glitch on dragon and dropping i got around it, check my reply under case 10 can't be arsed to write it all out again, but i can tell you the vinyl does appear in your inventory without picking it up, no i'm not bull****ting it does appear, so glad to complete the game, far to many glitches in it for my liking.

Yay! At least we now know that it can be done- many many thanks rammstein for posting that you finished the game... those of us with the PC version have been worrying that the XBOX version was unfinishable, and there wasn't much we could do about it.

I am merging this thread with the vinyl thread since they are related.

I guess those are another differences between the PC and XBOX versions of the game- you do not question the funeral director again after you get access to the back area as he disappears. I also guess that once you expose the blood on the bag, the XBOX version requires you to zoom in a certain way and the vinyl is picked up automatically?... it would be great if someone could confirm the steps above- that way we can add it to our list of differences in the sticky in this forum.

my memory isn't brillant, so bare with me, all i remember doing is questioning everyone involved in the case collect as much evidence as possible, i went to the funeral guy asking if i could look around, so i went into the room collected evidence etc.. collected the blood stain from the bin, i clicked on the vinyl where the green arrow was highlighted, i didn't pick it up as i couldn't.

came out of the room questioned the guy asking why there was blook in the bin/why was the vinyl piece/jacket in the bin. went back to greg and the vinyl was there.

sorry i can't be anymore useful unless i complete the level again and i'll tell you what i need, which to be honest i don't fancy doing, as when i was playing the game i was getting to the point where i wanted to throw my xbox out of the window..lol

I have just spent SO long trying to get that stupid piece of vinyl. Got it thanks to you!

The XBOX game is very glitchy. Especially the last 2 cases. In Miss Direction I couldn't do anything unless I got the detonator fingerprint... off the body! And only once when I did the game would it let me set up the dummy but then it wouldn't let me do anything else (argh!), so restarted. Eventually managed to get to the second part of the case and the dummy materialised...

Meh, at least I'll get through it now!
