Case 10 (DM Case 5)- Dragon and Dropping - XBOX tool selection & vinyl body bag

I only need the piece of vinyl from the body bag to get the warrant for the funeral parlor. When I get to the tear in the bag, the pointer turns green, but when I push the button to use my tools, nothing happens. It will not let me take it. What's up with that!

Try using the scope to get closer maybe? Hopefully that should help. CSI games are always picky about that.

Thank you for your reply. But, when I press the A button which should bring up the tool selections, nothing happens. I cannot choose anything, not even the magnifying glass. I think there is something wrong with the game itself at that point. I am so disappointed, I will not be able to solve this case!

Hmm... since I only have the PC version of the game, I don't know if it is a XBOX quirk or not. Have you tried just clicking on the tear in the bag with just the normal pointer?- you might not have to use the scope to get closer.

i think the xbox version is very glitchy, even worse than the PC, i have the same problem here with the crack, i can see it i can EVEn see the pieace of viynal, and the curser turns green, but wont let you do anything, and unfortunatlly on the xbox version this = hooped.. becuase you cant do anything, when it turns green then you can press a button and pull up your tools, but with out the tools comeing up i cant find anyway to collect the viynal

Sorry I don't know how the tool system works on the XBOX- I've just seen it "working" on XPlay reviews. There should be some way to pick up the vinyl with the tweezers. In the PC version, you do zoom in closer by clicking.

Make sure you do something else with the body bag

I have the XBOX version also, and have the same problem at the Funeral Parlour. Can zoom on the bin, then can zoom on the bag. Can see the piece of vinyl, cursor goes green, but no options pop up! How annoying! Last case and so close to finishing it! Grr. Anyone know any quick fixes?

For the PC, you need to zoom in on the bag "closer" I think at least 2 clicks (?). Have you all tried using the scope? I also recall playing the case once where the vinyl piece still appeared to be there on the bag after I used the tweezers to pick it up- it was in my evidence.

thekay: The XBOX version differs from the PC version.

With the XBOX version, you cannot select tools such as the scope or fingerprinting, or any of the detection options unless the cursor goes green and it pops up automatically. Hence the problem with the XBOX version. You can't zoom in further as the "tools" wheel does not pop up to allow you to do so.

Definatly a glitch in the XBOX version... a bad one at that!

I've heard the woes of the XBOX version and the stupid tool wheel- definitely not something I would have designed in a game!

I know it's probably not much consolation, but there has been players who finished the game (and managed to get the vinyl some how)- my only suggestion for now is to go over the bag very carefully to see if there is a cursor hot spot that might not be directly over the vinyl tear- it might be just above or below. Sorry I'm not much other help!
