sorry for the crappy quality, but they are from my downstairs computer and i had to turn the performance and quality settings all the way down to make the game work ( the game looks better on my upstairs computer with everything turned up as high as it will go) but i am not going to hook that computer up to the internet

i may save some shots to a flash drive and get some high quality ones soon, but those are enough for now

they are all from case 2 "First Person Shooter"

Before this thread continues away, I'm just interrupting Dangerzone's post to explain this thread- this is the Third of two CSI: Three Dimensions of Murder General Talk threads... this one marking the release of the game! FINALLY !

This is a continuation of the lively discussions from Part one and Part Two, but now we all can legally have copies of the whole game, and not just little sneak previews.

I decided not to copy over some of the info-packed posts from the first two forums. As you can always go look at them there.

Yay the game is here... now talk lots so I can learn about it...

====================================

Dangerzone's explanation of the other threads...

====================================

many of the other threads here were limited to one topic
( website delay, game format, the missing cases, )
so, i figured i would make one for general conversation and information on the game

the other topics are highly specific discussions and i want this to become the main topic on the new game and have the other five topics be side discussions.

P.S. the five other topics are a single string and should be read in order
(they make more sence when read in order)

first is
Dimensions of Murder game early NEWS RELEASES (may have old information now)
(this was the topic where i broke the news that a new game was on the way)
------------
second is
do you want the new csi game to be on cd or dvd PART ONE (topic closed due to length, and continued with the topic listed below)
------------
third is
Game Talk: Thoughts on Game cases & how/why some cases are removed from the games
(this topic requires the reading of the second topic to understand what we are talking about in the begining of the topic)

the other topics are seperate topics and do not require the reading of another topic to understand the topic at hand

you want to see how many discs the game is on

behold

that is it.............one cd, but it look better and is longer than the previous games

this is due to the game being hevily compressed, and the 3D files (.vox) are smaller than the old .bik files used in the old games

oh, and the weblink is dead www.CSI3game.com

and here is another shot

this one is from the upsatirs computer

ok i finished the game............very fun game, and well worth the wait

some parts required some higher thinking to figure out what to do, but it does a good job of helping to point you in the right direction

the part that i liked the most was the fact that you have control of the camera in every scene, even the close ups.............you can pan around and zoom in/out, it adds a bit of "coolness" to the game

the cases are very well written, and they have cinematics at various times in each case.................overviews with other actors, a cinematic enterance to each case, and a flythrough into for each location

and the voice doubles for sara and catherene...........SUCK..........the actors are female.........and that is the only similarity

i just imagined that it was not cathere and sara i was working with, i imagined they are some other people.............i even gave them new names, clare and jane

but all of the actors did a very good job

here are the case names and what the basic plot of each is

Case 1: Pictures At An Execution - a murdered woman in an art gallery (Warrick)

Case 2: First Person Shooter - dead video game rep at a trade show booth (Nick)

Case 3: Daddy's Girl - a bloody crime scene with no body (sara)

Case 4: Rough Cut - dead stoner in the desert (greg)

Case 5: The Big White Lie - dead crooked P.I. discovered by robbins (grissom and catherene)
(has tie ins to cases one and three)

although you only do a partial case with catherene she appears in several of the cinematics in the earlier cases..........and grissom appears quite often as well

the characters have come to life and they do things like scratch the back of their neck roll their eyes, and give weird "looks"
each character has their own attitude in how they talk, move, and stand,
it is very fun to watch, and it adds a bit of realism that was absent in the previous games

the mobile evidence analysis unit is only avalable to use twice in the game, (in cases two and four) and it is not a location you can always go to.............you get a one time pass each time, after you collect and analise the evidence from the inital scene, bye bye........no more, it takes you to the normal lab from then on out

you can bring up a exam window to check evidence in 3D and you have full control over the camera x axis, y axis, zoom, and pitch

but the scenes them selves only have a x axis movement (left and right) and it is not a panoramic view at all, it moves in and out and goes around things, the camera movements are very slick, and they have the type of feel that the shots have in the shows

i have one last post game question for you greg................when did you see a real dead body during your research............there is only one way that you would know that victims blead out of the eyes in cases with extreme trama to the head,

it is not something shown or talked about a lot in the medical field

and what is with you guys removing all of the reflective things in the game (vehicle paint, jewlery, windows) the game looked better with all of that enabled

the truck looks retarded

The game is one disc??? What happened to the two other discs, Dangerzone? I can hardly believe that all five cases plus the introductory are on one disc! Or have they decided to go back to DVD's?
