it is up to you, but i think that to get an entirely new computer just for a video game that will be old news in a few months.....is overkill

Then you think that upgrading my drive in my present 'pute is more logical than to go new ? But how much would an upgrade cost--- that's most important!

for a decent drive plus average install costs

i would give you a ball park figure of around $70 to $110

compare that to the $550 it would cost for a new entry level pc

that was the price of my drive alone

it was a top of the line drive
and has the ability to rip and burn dvds in less than a minute

and i installed it myself

but a normal drive will run anywhere from 50 to 90 dollars and places usually charge around 20 dollars for the install

Thanks for the clarification. Oh, btw, any news about when the CSI:NY computer game will be coming out?

There's a few plug and play ones out there too where you can do it yourself- we have one of those in the other computer. Sadly that one is too slow to run the new CSI game (it's about 8 years old now). I suspect we'll be getting a new one within the next year (we tend to upgrade every 3-5 years or so). As BC-ers, we like technology and if the power goes out, you'll probably hear loud collective crying- that'll be all of Vancouver-area in tears

I hope there'll be a New York game- after all they did make one dedicated to the Miami crew!

I think next year, or earlier, that a CSI :NY game will come out.
