the idea of things on the x360 version that is not on the pc version is a gimmick to get people to buy the x360 version
because the csi game that was on the original xbox was a failure
they are doing things to make people want it
(in wich case it worked, because i will buy the x360 version even though i will already have the pc version)
anyway, if they wanted to they could fit all the content on 6 cds if they wanted
or have a directors cut on dvd with the stuff not on the cd version
its a gimmick to prolong the game
(like tupac, he has been dead for years but they are still releasing new songs of his that were never heard before)
only in this case they are spacing it out so we do not have to wait as long for a "new" game wich the x360 version will be because it has things on it that were not on the pc version

Perhaps they'll provide the cut cases online as downloadables at some point?

i doubt it from what my contact told me there are 3 cases that were cut and one that is only halfway done
so multiply that by a few months, and i would give a rough estimate of maybe 6 cases on the x360 version that were not on the pc version
wich is more than worth the purchese for me
(as the pc version will ony have 5 cases)
(also take into account what i said, they are trying to build hype over the x360 version) and releasing the content for the pc version would invalidate that "hype" and make people not want the x360 version
what will happen then is a repeat of the original csi xbox game

Man that's lame. So the cost of putting it on 6 discs isn't the only factor.

i dont mind how they are doing it
because in a few months i will have a few new cases to work on
than a few months after that csi game 5 will be comming out
i would rather have it this way than waiting a whole year before seeing another game

P.S. its funny seeing this place turn into an actual forum and getting a reply in a few monutes rather than having to wait untill the nextday for a reply

Exclamation Adaptation/Value/Price

Would it be worth it for me to switch, just this one time, to get all the cases?
Is there a way to adapt a regular CD-Rom playing computer to play DVD's? How much would cost?

from what i get all the cases will only be avalable on the x360 version (xbox 360)
they have done this with several other games as well
(release a revision of a game on a diffrent formatt with more content)
if you install a dvd drive then your computer can run dvds, that simple
they usually run around $70
you can get an internal drive and have someone install it ex. bestbuy

You really don't have DVD-ROM drive on your computer? When did you buy it?

Dangerzone I'd agree with you except for the fact that I don't have and don't intend to get an XBOX360, so getting a $400 system for part of a game that I feel I should have gotten in the first place doesn't strike me as a particularly good idea. I would prefer to wait to get the whole game even if it meant waiting a few months. I just think it's a shame that PC users get the short end of the stick because of a marketing tactic.

Then all the fuss was for nothing? Exactly how many cases were cut and how many kept? The same as always???
