Arrow Preliminary news.

GameStop.com has the earliest time of arrival as the seventh of March according to their pre-release.

posiedon recently sent me a pm asking me if there was any new info on the new game, and i felt really bad when i told him i had nothing new
so i talked to my contact on the phone for the first time in quite a few months today (all the other times we talked were via email)
and it turned out to be a very productive call
the 1st half of the talk was personal, just us catching up on the last few months, but the second half i took a pen and paper i had a bunch of questions written down on and interviewed him like i was a reporter
anyway i found that ubisoft has little involvement in the upcoming title
95% of the work is through telltale games you can check their website here
it seems that ubisoft is only running P.R. for this game
also the game is going to be the first csi game to have a tv commercial wich will be on a few networks (including cbs) for a few weeks after release
by the way the final release date is tuesday, march 21 my contact confirmed this the game is complete and they are producing the 1/2 million copies needed for launch
only 52 days to go or 7-1/2 weeks (from when i made this post 1/28/06)
so the offical countdown has begun. is it possible to put a countdown timer on the main site or in the forum somewhere
and for anyone wondering about the final formatt, drumroll please.......
the suspence must be killing you
highlight here ----> ( it is going to be on 4 cds!!!!! )
the offical website is almost online, they just have some bandwith issues to work out. the url address should be (www.csitdmgame.com) when it goes online. i will have the address all over this forum the minute it goes online, so do not worry about it

and finally i found out why the dumber of cds went from 6 down to 4
the game creators did not want to make the game on dvd because consumers are not ready for one yet, but they also did not want to make a game on 6 cds because of the cost ( 4 was the highest number they would allow, because one dvd is cheeper than 5 cds )
so they removed some of the content to make it fit on 4 cds ( my contact did not know what was removed ) but we assume it was either a couple of cases or some bonus stuff
and the stuff removed from the pc game, as well as some content yet to be created will be on the xbox 360 version due in the fall

P.S. the website is going to have 5 screenshots formatted into wallpaper size and a screensaver
so i think that every computer on this forum is due for a face lift in a week or two
and usually i make my highlights "Red" but i am from Pittsburgh - GO STEELERS

i recently found a blog from someone in texas who made a visit to ubisoft and tried some of the new games as a tester
You Can View It Here

Quote:
CSI Three Dimensions of Murder
This is the first 3d CSI game and as such it is much closer to the TV show than previous versions. The opening full motion video is just like the show, and the crime lab is a reproduction based on the set. There's more interaction with characters, then environment and evidence. It's not just pixel hunting anymore. The environment is more complex which means more complex clue hunting. You recreate each crime, process your own evidence, get warrants, in short you do everything. There are 5 cases and the game will ship in March 2006 for PC.

most stores get stuff in a week or so before the release date
and if you know how (or who)to ask you can get stuff early
i know the manager of my local best buy and sometimes he hawks stuff to me under the table then holds the purchese order and does not enter it untill the day of release
but sometimes there are strict rules not to sell the stuff untill the day of release (ex. fines)
although i dont think ubi will enforce the release date on this game
i got my xbox 360 a day ahead of time for 2 reasons
first i am a good friend of the manager of the store and he entered the purchese later that night (after 12pm) because all recepts must be on the day of release
and second i got 2 and agreed to sell him one for the price i paid for it
(because the store staff cannot get one from their own store untill the demand goes down)
P.S. the deal with that manager is mutual sometimes i hawk stuff to him from my gamestop store because we get games in earlier than bestbuy does
however for everything else we are last in the chain
(my store only got 3 x360s and that was 2 weeks after the release date)

i asked around and i found out why everyone has a diffrent release date
ubisoft is sending the games to retailers around the 1st week of march
wich is why some have the release date as march 7
but the sell date is march 21st
so from what i get you can buy it online a week or two early so it will get to your house by the release date
but i am going to just get it from my store a week early rather than wait for it to arrive in the mail
because according to the shipping roster i just got, my gamestop is getting a shipment on the 3rd of March
but the release date is not untill the 21st and the buffer date is not untill the 14th
(i told you gamestop gets games before everyone else)
