hate boat-please help!! -swabbing stain and picking up fiber

I am in the hate boat, but for some reason the game is not letting me swab that stain on the bed or pick up the fiber that's on the dock is there any way to fix this ??

to get the stain on the boat you have to shine the "Ultraviolet Light" on it first (under detection tools)
delko will say something about it, and then you will be able to take a sample with the "Swab"

and for the fiber you have to use the "Magnifying Scope" (under detection tools) to zoom in and then you will be able to collect the fiber with the "Tweezers"

and to get it to zoom in on the fiber, sometimes you have to click a little to the upper left of the fiber and not on the dead center of it

under the Detection toolbar the uv light is the fifth tool over and the scope is the seventh one over (next to last)

i got the fiber but the stain, even if i use the uv light first its not letting me swab almost like its not there and i know its something i have to have in order to finish this case. i've tried restarting it a few times including some patch from ubisoft that didn't do anything. i tried the ubisoft website for some tech help and couldn't find a link to email. and the phone number in the book is for canada. anyone else have ideas?

You have to touch it just above the victim's head.

did you zoom in on the stain (with the normal cursor)or are you still in the view with the victim


and you have to click on the stain with the uv light equipped

and click around thae stain as well, it is like the fiber
sometimes it does not work when you click on the dead center of the stain

and make sure you are using the uv light and not the regular flashlight


i can tell you that it is an error that you are making,
because game glitches ure usually acompanied by lockups and/or graphic glitches

when u shine the ultra voilet light wait til the outline of the tool goes orange then click it will go close up and then swab it
