I 'm stuck on shattered lens

I'm stuck on the shattered lens I can't get at the fingerprint
powder to get the fingerprint off it so I can't get past the morgue to question
Enrique I just get a blacked out tool menu even though I double click the lens It is black when I first enter the assembly table & when I try too click on anything else (the icons on the table) nothing happens there
can anyone help me or tell me how to bypass this part & resume the game?
Would IT help if I unistalled Then re-installed the game?

Have you handed the glass pieces to be processed in the lab? Once you do that, you will be able to reassemble the pieces on the table behind the lab tech and get the finger print that way.

i've got it all assembled on the lab desk. But nothing happens when I
double click the lens so the fingerprint doesn't come up nor does the panel for the tools, it's black on the menu bar. so I can't even access the fingerprint powder even if I could get to the print

Once it is assembled, I believe you leave the desk and the assembled lense is in your evidence items. Double click this item and then dust for finger prints.

Any tips on how to put the glass togearther. I have no idea how to know what fits whare

It's like a jigsaw puzzle. Look at the edges and the outside edges of the glass.That way, you'll know , approximately, where they fit. Also, the craggy ones fit in the middle. However, this case won't be solved until the end of "Final Judgement".
