can't get location to Red Curtain Imports! [from the missing evidence? thread]

Ive questioned everyone in the first round, collected the vinyl, tire print, toe, hair, and driftwood. I've processed all the evidence and done the search on the toe print owner and ernie. Grissom mentioned red curtain imports, but i can't get the location to come up, and can't get victor kaufman to tell me anything more. I've done everything listed in the walk thru to this point, but still can't get anything to come up concerning red curtain imports other grissom mention them.

Am I missing something or do I have a glitch in my disc? I have the pc game if it matters.

I am stuck in the same place. I have looked at the walkthroughs, and every one tells me that when I go back to talk to the funeral parlor owner the questions should come up asking him about seeing a man around 40ish. This question does not come up, which seems to prevent advancement in the game.
One thing I did notice was that when I identified the toe via the print, Grissom says now we know who made the deposit at Red Curtain Imports. This is odd, because this has not yet come up as a location, and therefore I have not learned anything about a deposit. Brass is no help, he just keeps telling me I do not have enough information for warrants.
I am playing the PC version. I originally played it with the patch to 1.01, then uninstalled it and reinstalled, playing the game as version 1.00. I get the same errors in both cases. I am playing the game on full install as well if that makes a difference. I may uninstall again and try with minimal install to see if that helps, but it seems to be a bug in the game.

Hi some tips for the beginning of Dragon and Dropping... Make sure you...

-have talked all you can to Ziegler [circus owner]
-found/picked up and analyzed the following evidence: vinyl scrap from cactus, tracks on the ground near the cage, the toe, the hair on the driftwood, the driftwood. Make sure you compare the hair and the toe DNA. Use the microscope to look at the vinyl and the hair.
-look at the cobra cage [it's important later]
-talk all you can to Kaufman [funeral home director] and looked at the coffins behind him
-asked Brass about Petrenko's background [after you searched the toe print and seen his rap sheet]
-get Dr. Rivelli's address and talk to him all you can
-talk to Doc Robbins about the toe
-return to all the people and make sure no questions are left

If you've done the above, you should be able to talk to Kaufman again who says something about a van with Red Curtain Inc. on it. Since Petrenko has that name listed on his rap sheet, you should be able to ask Brass for the location and go there and get more evidence.

As for the deposit slip- Grissom shouldn't say anything about it unless you have picked it up at Red Curtain and analyzed it, so I don't know why it would do that if you haven't been there yet. You do know the name of the place [from the rap sheet], but know nothing about a deposit.

minimun install doesn't work either. I tried that first to save space on my hard drive. installed the patch. then uninstalled and installed with the full install. i still get the same results. zeigler, kaufman, and dr. rivelli all say they have nothing more to add. dr. robbins just asks if you forgot something. i've examined and re-examined all the evidence and still can't get any referrance to red curtain other than grissam's first mention of petrenko's signature on the deposit slip, which i know nothing about yet since i can't get mention of or access to red curtain. thanks for the suggestions. i'll check back in case someone has the same problem and overcame it......

I found a way past the problem, for me. I restarted the game and when I got to analysing the toe, I put it in the left side of the screen. Usually I put it in the right side, because it is easier to drag the matches to the left side than the right side. This time the toe was identified as domenco's, but grissom doesn't mention red curtain imports or the deposit. When I went back to see kaufman at the funeral home he now has more questions pop up. It seems a little bizarre that something this minor would cause a problem, but apparently it does. Try analyzing the evidence that way and see if it works. Good luck.

By the way, you can't open the door at the funeral home at this point in the game as suggested above.

Hi!

Good to hear that a solution was found! I wouldn't think putting the DNA from the toe into the other window would have done anything or make a difference. It was also odd to me because you're supposed to get the deposit slip at Red Curtain, so you shouldn't know anything about it until you get there!

Another note: I have the game in minimum install to save hard drive space and the game works fine- though takes a while to load. Also since it seemed to be a case progression problem, I wouldn't think the patch would have anything to do with the problem [the patch basically tries to fix sound, graphics and computer execution files].

I have never had a problem with any of the CSI games before, but I'm totally stuck in Dragon and Dropping. I googled walkthroughs, have followed all suggested paths, and keep getting stuck in the same spot. I can't ask the funeral director any questions about Dominec or the van, and I can't get Brass to look up the address for Red Curtain Imports. I supposedly have all the evidence, processed it completely, and asked all of the questions up to this point (which is not far AT ALL). Any suggestions??? Help please!!!!!!!

Found and cast the thread marks in the tent
looked at the wood in the cage and zoomed in and picked up the hair
?

For Red Curtain, you also have to have gained access to the circus office- there is evidence there you need to see/pick up- listen to the phone message, find the piece of paper with phone number, take sample of coat for vinyl, picked up the photo of the snake on the chair [and found some well hidden trace evidence on it].

You could list the evidence you have found- that way someone can better guess what you might be missing
