bad info on walkthrough

some mods here claim that their walkthroughs are perfect and full of spoilers, well i beg to differ, in particular in miss direction, the second line on the walkthrough tells me to talk to the vic's husband.... well der...... he doesnt come in till later, then there's just too many other faults to mention

not just that walkthrough for that case.... all the walkthroughs and tips you posted "thekay" are just pathetic.... you think you're helping people, i personally dont think you know what you're talking about

The husband is the guy standing off the stage, you can talk to him any time right from the beginning..not sure what the problem is?

If you are playing a console version then the walkthrough's might not be totally accurate because they are for the PC version and there are differences in the gameplay.

first of all, i really do not like your tone earlier in the thread... consider this your first and only warning... second, "thekay" is no longer with us, so i cannot vouch for the validity of her walkthroughs.. (being as i am unable to play the first 3 games on my current computer, and i have long forgotten most of those games by now)

but since we have never had complaints about them in the 3 years they have been up, i don't mind saying that i believe they are accurate...

as for the differences in the Xbox version... there are not that many, and believe i listed them in the xbox game forum...

may i also note that the walk throughs are only tools, they are only intended to be used when you get into a jam (to give you ideas on where to go next, or tell you what you missed), they are really not meant to take you through the entire case by hand (although i guess there is nothing to stop you from doing that if you want) figuring out the cases yourself and finding everything yourself is a lot more satisfying than being spoon fed by a walk through

Well said and bravo, on all three accounts. Personnally speaking , I think we should oust Tweedgirl from the board. No-one maligns Kay, not even by error. I know she's not perfect...no-one is. But , her opinions should be respected, as she was the moderator of this board for how long, Dangerzone? Anyhow, she should count her blessings and be lucky that she wasn't paert of another board known as CSI Central.

yeah yeah yeah..... gang up on me ... i dont care...... my whole point was, and obviously you missed it, was that this was headed as an xbox walkthrough, "NOT PC" ... and another heading on the top of some case pages was "THIS IS FULL OF SPOILERS AND A COMPLETE WALKTHROUGH"...no wonder you have soooooooooo many people asking the same questions time and time again......MY POINT AGAIN... don't brag that it's complete when it's not..... kick me out or whatever you mods do, i don't care (and thats being polite) besides i'm getting through it all on expert mode which i'm sure you haven't done.... see ya

yah...... tweedgirl, about time someone spoke up... seeing they say no one has ever complained... coz ive noticed plenty of faults myself i agree the mods shouldn't say the walkthroughs are correct if they havent even tried them themselves!!!!...

Playing through the games again using the Walkthroughs to validate them and correct continuity errors is on my to do list... but some of us actually have lives (and better things to do than nitpick Walkthroughs)

if you would be so kind as to tell me what the hell is wrong with them (instead of just blindly complaining about them) i will kindly fix the errors when i get some free time

also... don't go twisting my words and make it seem like we are out to get you just because someone complained... you do have a valid point, those walkthroughs and some older parts of the site need renovation... but you could have raised the issue in a slightly more polite manner, and without attacking our staff... that is why you were reprimanded (and despite Poseidon's ranting) we don't just ban people for no reason...
