I decided to make a thread for Jericho since it seemed to be it's own topic on the CSI:LV thread... some CSI stuff mixed in [as I'm lazy and don't feel like editing], but it can't be any more complicated as the show is so far! [Don't even get me started on how LOST is doing this year in terms of confusing people!]

It is! It also reminds me of a show they cancelled last year- Jeremiah... [yeah it was shot in Vancouver ]

I also like Jericho because it has the feeling of Lost, but isn't a blatant copy of it. It has realistic characters and supplies enough information and questions to keep the pace at a reasonable level- Some of the newer "serial dramas" tend to either go way to fast or too slowly [ie. the kidnapped, runaways, etc.] Yay for something different!

i enjoy the other new shows shark, and smith as well

i like how shark covers the courtroom point of view to forensics, and just how fragile a criminal case really is.............it is hard enough to find the evidence needed to prove guilt, and it is even harder to convict

and i like how smith plays the villans as the heroes of the show, it has an oceans 11 feel to it. and it is intresting to see how long they can keep getting away with their crimes

as for jericho, i also love the story thus far. i hope that it stays on the air for a reason, because the thought of a terrorist attack (it thats what happened) that spans across the entire nation is an intresting story............and the action in it keeps you on the edge of your seat, even untill the next week

finally csi: i told you that the episode was a good one, and you do not find out who the killers are for quite a while <---- HINT (but i will not ruin it for everyone by spoiling it) next weeks episode brings back a 4 case style as seen in 4X4 and Viva las vegas, which is also a good episode ( all 7 episodes so far this season have an excellent story, with the exception of the opener)

Years ago, there was a show entitled "Unsub" which was the forerunner of Criminal Minds. It, too , was cut down in its childhood!

DZ,
Jericho takes place after the U.S. has had a thirld world war. The people are frightened for their lives!...

Re Jericho: The townspeople have already sent out messengers to the four directions of the nation! Let's hope that they don't become the four horsemen of the apocalypse!...

Then, Kay, what were those mushroom clouds and where is the remainder of the population of the country?

It is not clear whether it was a world war, or a terrorist attack, or something else more sinister. As far as we know from the story told so far, the mushroom clouds all hit within vicinities of the main military bases and training facilities, and or the communication hubs. The people in Jericho are unable to contact other towns and cities, probably due to the radiation. We are led to believe that there are other survivors in other places in the country, one of the story arcs for the rest of the series is for Jericho to make contact with the other stranded or isolated people.

But the mushroom clouds mixed with cumulonimbi which, in turn , became radioactive rain thereby causing a panic...

Yes, there was panic and the radioactive rain, but we don't know if it rained or affected the entire country- we are led to believe that. Methinks after today's episode, we should start a Jericho thread in the Off Topic area
