That's right! It did air in Vancouver first via TeleCanada. DaVinci's City Hall, eh ? Sounds interesting. So the medical examiner becomes political? Hope it doesn't change him!

LOL! DaVinci's Inquest is a CBC show loosely based on Larry Campbell (no relation to star Nicholas Campbell) who first worked as cheif coroner for the Vancouver City police. Larry Campbell then became the Honorable Mayor of Vancouver years later (the show creators speeded it up for the new series DaVinci's City Hall). Last summer, Larry Campbell retired as mayor and was chosen by then Prime Minister Paul Martin to become a Senator (where he is now). A lot of people joke that that is where the DaVinci character is headed, so the series and character are not as popular as they used to be. The show is great though and we are very excited that people in the States are now watching it! (We can now add it to our very short list of exports- Due South, Trailer Park Boys, SCTV and Degrassi.... I would also include "Cold Case," which was a blatant rip off "Cold Squad" which ended a few years ago)

however there was nothing in there about when people found out you stole an idea and your idea gets labeled as "a copy of......." wich lessens your ideas reputation

Due South I know of and, of course, watched a lot. As for Degrassi, only heard of it . Never watched. SCTV somehow strikes a chord in my memory and Trailer Park Boys is rather vague in my mind. I didn't know that "Cold Case" was a ripoff of "Cold Squad".
Years ago, on late night, I used to watch "Fly by Night", "Silk Stalkings" and "Dark Justice". However, more recently, I watched "Psi Factor:Chronicles of the Paranormal" which was Canadian in origin. Another of my favorites was "Twin Peaks", although its ending left me rather puzzled.

i am a dvd boxset junkie

i always get the sets before they are released (my store gets them in a few days ahead of time )
i get the manager discount wich is similar to the discount percentage of the five finger discount 100%

i have the boxsets for all the csi shows (all 9 of them )
(5 las vegas) (3 miami) (1 new york )

i also have all 4 boxsets for alias
and i have all the soprano sets

last i have every season of, home improvement, south park, reno 911, dukes of hazard (the old tv show), and i even have the magiver dvd sets

i even dump the harddrive of my DVR into my computer and make dvds of shows the same night they are on

it beats having to wait almost a year for the "offical" dvd sets
but i get them when they come anyways because its cool to have them all

i have shows on dvd that do not have dvd stes like ncis, numbers, criminal minds, without a trace, and cold case

and lets not forget every major video game ever made a few days early for free

I LOVE MY JOB
